About Me

It all began with an idea, to jog a 5k…but through a number of transitions and changes in 2010 I wound up going above and beyond. Through running, I gained a path to fitness, found peace, and became something I could have never imagined…a runner.

Such is my story and on this blog I plan to document my journey as a runner. I’m hoping to not only inspire others who never thought they could do it, but to continually inspire myself.

    • cool! welcome to my little slice of the internet πŸ™‚ i definitely believe that us curvy girls can get out there and walk/jog/run our hearts out if we want to. hopefully something you read in my story will help you get started too πŸ™‚

    • i JUST posted the same thing on your blog. kindred spirits!!!! lol i’ve subscribed to your blog too, it does my heart good to know that there are more of us out there unafraid to do our thing. πŸ™‚

  1. I’m another DC gal who found myself turning into a runner! (What the… ?) πŸ˜‰
Love the blog! Get it, Girl!

  2. RIGHT ON TIME!!! Saw a link to your blog on FB. I am another curvy sista about to celebrate 1 year of running by.completing my first 1/2 marathon. I have been questioning that decision bc I am slow. Depending on the amount of miles I run a 13-14 min mile. Reading your posts gave me the boost I needed. Bump my size I am running PERIOD! Keep inspiring. Curvy Girls Rock!!!

    • Get it girl! When I first started, I was averaging a 16 minute mile and now I average about a 13 min mile and have even run a few sub 12min miles! The point is that we keep going, keep moving. Who cares about our size! Most folks wouldn’t dare to even try to run, but we do. I run for me and for every curvy girl out there who thinks she can’t…we most certainly can! πŸ˜€
