LOL, this isn’t the usual motivation, but I thought it was funny. Kinda true though…if that scale is in the kitchen…like RIGHT in front of the fridge? Yea…think twice about those late night snack attacks. I dare you to try this, just for a week. Let me know how it goes, lol.

  1. But is healthy motivation all just a number on a scale? For two years, my roommate kept her scale in our living room (it was a 2 bdrm apartment and the kitchen was really narrow). It was fairly prominent but it NEVER stopped either of us from stress eating or boredom eating. What did have an impact was when we decided that neither of us was allowed to eat AND do another task at the same time. So you can’t eat AND cook. Eat AND watch tv. Eat AND study. You just ate and moved on. It cut the snacking waaay down and made us pay way more attention to what we ate and when. I think “feeling guilty” is a poor motivator.

    • I don’t know if you usually are able to read most of my actual posts but I say quite frequently that a scale isn’t the end factor of determining fitness. We all find motivation in different areas, and I happen to think that this picture gave me a laugh. If you want to talk weight loss, eat well and move more. If you lift weights, and you should, you will end up slimming down but may gain weight as lean muscle is formed. I could go on, but suffice to say…this post was hilarious to me.
